Forced Conversion

DRAFT a later version will be contributed to Wikipedia

I was interested in this topic and created an illustration of it and also as a class final project. I included 3 drafts and the final image. Although in Forced Conversion, religion is being forced against someone’s will to convert and through historical attempts, it is done by Christians. I wanted to imply this meaning into my work, I am focusing more on Christians as a ‘cult’ rather than on religion itself. The bodies and hands on the ground holding the crucifix is forcing fear and threat to people. In the background, I have few individuals running away from fear of being converted. I also wanted this illustration to reflect on other countries, so you have a Buddha in the background.

A forced conversion is the religious conversion or acceptance of a philosophy against the will of the subject, often with the threatened consequence of earthly penalties or harm. There is no support in the Bible for forced conversion[citation needed], but there have been historical attempts by Christians to force the religious conversion of individuals, groups, and entire populations.
